I’m very interested to buy and use some old Chinese classic SLR 135mm film camera. There is little to no information about these cameras in English...There are so many variations of df-300...what’s the difference between the models. I want to know as much as possible. Below I have a list of all the models I can see for Seagull 135mm SLR. Can you help me to add what each variation is. What’s changed/added? What year it was from maybe?

Seagull DF-300G: Using a microcomputer controlled shutter instead of a quartz electronically controlled shutter. Others same as DF300.
Seagull DF-300E: With multi-exp and depth-of-field preview. Others same as DF300. Seagull DF-300B: Added a huge handle, shutter butten on the handle. Added T (shutter). Others same as DF300 Seagull DF-300A: Aperture value shown in viewfinder. Others same as DF300 Seagull DF-300: Same as Minolta X300. Made on imported Minolta production line. Some used Minolta components. Seagull DF-200A: Same as DF200, added an ISO/ASA reminder. Seagull DF-200: Same as DF100. With TTL lightmeter and multi-exp. Seagull DF-102B: Same as DF-1, add a handle. Seagull DF-100: Using mechanical shutter, with 1/2000 shutter and mechanical self-timer. Seagull DF-99: I don't think this exists. Seagull DF-98: Data same as DF1, using a electronic shutter, looks a lot like DF300, but without AE and multi-exp. Be careful. Seagull DF-3: I don't think this exists. Seagull DF-2 ETM: Same as DF1. Added a TTL lightmeter. Seagull DF-2: Same as DF1, aperture value shown in viewfinder Seagull DF-1 ETM: Same as DF1, added TTL lightmeter. Seagull DF-1: Same as DF, deleted mirror preliminarily,single-use flash mount and autowinder mount. Changed cold boot on the top into hot boot. Rewinding wheel also do as opening control (of the camera back) Seagull DF: Shutter speed B, 1-1/1000, with mirror preliminarily and autowinder mount. Opens the back on the bottom of the camera. Cold boot. Had a single-use falsh mount. Seagull ※※※300D: Same as V-300D. Added autowinder mount. Seagull V-300D: Same as DF300. Seagull K-300E: I don't think this exists. Seagull K-2000: I don't think this exists. Seagull X-9: I don't think this exists. |

Hello my friend. Don't know if you're still on WuJi, but I think I can answer some of your questions.
Seagull DF-5000: technically same with Seagull DF300/Minolta X300, with a streamline shell Seagull DF-2000A: technically same with Seagull DF300, but no auto exposure (Aperture priority) Seagull DF-2000: Same as DF2000 Seagull DF-41200A: I don't think this excists Seagull DF-1000A: Tecnically same with Seagull DF2000, but no built-in lightmeter Seagull DF-1000: Same as DF1000 Seagull DF-777:Same as DF1000 Seagull DF-500: same as Seagull DF300, aperture value shown in viewfinder, self-timer beep, and low-shutter-speed warning, Auto exposure, and built-in lightmeter Seagull DF-400G: BEST OF SEAGULL! With 1/2000 shutter and AE, built-in lightmeter, shutter speed shown in viewfinder. Seagull DF-400: I don't think this excists Seagull DF-300X: The same as DF300. Seagull DF-300S: The same as DF300. Seagull DF-300M: WARNING! This one had no AE, no lightmeter, totally Manual. Others are same as DF300 Seagull DF-300H: The same as DF300. |
