失控加速的问题解决不了，所谓脚垫原因只是借口，现在基本全面停售，估计丰田自
己现在还不知道怎么解决这个问题。有丰田车的，开车小心啊。

美国被报道的因为这个问题而死亡的有好几起了。
去年，洛杉矶一个警察一家，无法刹车，最后车毁家亡。丰田被迫召回，说是车子脚垫把油门卡住了。
结果去年刚过完 圣诞Dallas一家四口，车子失控，刹不住车，冲到湖里全淹死了。最后调查人员发现，车垫子还按厂家要求放在后备箱里。

SOUTHLAKE – Two people died and two others were critically injured when the Toyota sedan they were in crashed through a fence and flipped upside down into a frigid Southlake pond.

Witnesses reported that bystanders waded into the 6-foot-deep pond to try to save the victims.

About 11:20 a.m. Saturday, a Toyota Avalon ran a stop sign, crashed through a fence and bounced off a tree before landing upside down in a pond outside a Southlake home.
View larger More photos Photo store The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the deceased man and woman as Monty Hardy, 56, of Southlake, and Hadassah Vance, 35, of Euless. They were pronounced dead about a minute apart just after 12:30 p.m. at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine.

Police have not explained how the victims knew each other, and relatives could not be reached for comment.

Just before 11:20 a.m. Saturday, the 2008 Toyota Avalon registered to Hardy ran through a stop sign at the intersection of Lonesome Dove Road and Burney Lane, then struck a fence and tree before landing in the pond on the grounds of a mansion.

Southlake officers who arrived three minutes after the accident was reported pulled one victim from the crash. That person was flown to a hospital by helicopter. The Grapevine Fire Department dive team helped pull out the others, who were transported by ambulance. Rescue crews attempted to resuscitate at least one of the car's occupants.

Officer Roderick Page said traffic investigators couldn't tell whether driver error or a vehicle malfunction could be to blame.

Site of the crash "We want to cover all angles," he said. "We just don't know."

Investigators are trying to determine whether the crash was caused by a stuck accelerator, a problem that prompted Toyota to recall more than 4 million vehicles this year. Toyota is altering the shape of the accelerator and removing floor padding in several models, including the Avalon, to keep the pedal from becoming snagged on the floor mat.

A Los Angeles Times investigation, however, said problems with Toyota's electronic throttle may be responsible for many vehicles suddenly accelerating uncontrollably.

The problem garnered headlines in August, when an off-duty California highway patrol officer and three of his family members were killed in a Lexus ES 350 that suddenly accelerated to more than 100 mph and crashed near San Diego.

In Saturday's incident, the Avalon appeared to have left no skid marks on the road at the "T" intersection. Tire ruts marked the path through the fence and into the pond.
