A few years ago I started taking pictures again after dedicating myself to music (I am a cellist by profession and by passion). my main hobby was portraits and classical music photography and thus was always looking for beter high iso cameras and lenses. I started of with the Pentax line.. then on to Nikon D50.. Fuj S5 with some good glass , back to Pentax K20 and primes and finally managed to buy a Canon 5D... BLISS... no dought.

portraits became nicer.. wide became wider.. but 200mm went back to being 200mm... and for concerts and opera... that just didnt cut it... didnt believe I would miss the benefits of aps-c.

So I though to myself would would be cheaper.. (I am still a musician)... to invest in a really good lens that will go to 300mm or to get a cropped sensor camera...?

well.. just got a mint 40D FOR $500... and now my main concert lens.. the EF 80-200mm f2,8 L AKA magic drainpipe did a nother magic trick.. it became 320mm ..

my 85m-m f1.8 will also magically become a 135mm f1.8 to replace the original 135mm F2 L I had to sell when times were tough...
magic is everywhere...

music and photos.. capturing the beauty of life.
