昨天又去逛店,看到一台柯达135型III C的相机,做工没的说,真材实料,机身上的刻字是"Made in Germany",镜头是施奈德的xenotar 50/2,价格也不贵.
    现在搞不清楚的是柯达的相机在那个时代算是什么档次,这个机子是什么档次.

50mm/f2 is a planar structure, just like Zeiss. It is a very good lens. I have few Schneider lens they are all excellent!, I personal do not like retina reflex it is ugly abd bulky. usually this camera IIIc sale on ebay for about 60-120 dollar depend condition. regards

   我还看过一种柯达,不知道是不是大C的那一种,是单反的,有三只头35/2.8,50/2(2.8?),135/4(4.5?),都是施奈德的镜头.
   kodak retina III c看上去真是爽死了,特别是那只50/2的xenotar 镜头,应该是6片的结构吧,不过店里要34000日元.
   我看过它的低端产品50/2.8头拍出的黑白片,立体感十足,合焦处非常的细腻,还有点锐,背景模糊如棉花团一样.

Kodak IIIc have two version, the small letter 'c' and big letter 'C'. The small c is more common and cheap, the big C is late producation(model 028, has three fram for 35/50/80) use the left over parts from small c. kodak had a doughter company in germany since before world war II and continue to late 50-60's Kodak Retina is the brand it has lots of model until IIIC. The small c is the most popular along with IIc, IIIc has a selenium meter and usually you find it is dead nowsday. Retina IIIc have three lens 50mm/35mm/80mm(maybe 85mm)-you remove the front element and change it. most lens was made by Schneider but some of made by Voitglander. the most import thing to check the camera lens the number on the shutter and lens and the rear lens elements MUST BE MATCHED, if the shutter's number is 12345, all lens on the lens must be the same numbers, other wise the optical quiality will be hurt. the other thing is the winding mechenism, it has four 90 degree racks or poles to wind the film from buttom also cock the shutter. this part easy to wear out, but one american company do has this parts for sale at $30 dollars + S/H . Otherwise this is a woundful Germany camera. well I have two of them but I am not worship germany lens. regards
