Day's end

At the end of the day, everything goes easier and slower. The man on the waterfront is at ease with his binoculars watching the slowly passing ships. Nothing else happens......

Last week I went to the beach at Hoek van Holland where it is always been very nice shooting from the beach toward the so called New Waterway. Although I only had a compact camera with me, I still have been shooting some nice things, here is one of them.

These kind of pictures are very easy to make, you just have to pay attention and keep your eyes open. Only a few conditions are necessary:
- Backlight, preferably not too hard, so at the end of the day or early in the morning.
- Preferably a thin mist or fog for the right depth in the photo and some more atmosphere.
- A little patience to wait for an interesting situation.
