1979  SAGARMATHA NATIONAL PARK
Brief description:
Sagarmatha is an exceptional area with dramatic mountains, glaciers and deep valleys, dominated by Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world (8,848 m). Several rare species, such as the snow leopard and the lesser panda, are found in the park. The presence of the Sherpas, with their unique culture, adds further interest to this site.

1979  KATHMANDU VALLEY
Brief description:
At the crossroads of the great civilizations of Asia, seven groups of Hindu and Buddhist monuments, as well as the three residential and palace areas of the royal cities of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhadgaon, illustrate Nepalese art at its height. Among the 130 monuments are pilgrimage centres, temples, shrines, bathing sites and gardens ?all sites of veneration for both religious groups.

1984  ROYAL CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Brief description:
At the foot of the Himalayas, Chitwan is one of the few remaining undisturbed vestiges of the 'Terai' region, which formerly extended over the foothills of India and Nepal. It has a particularly rich flora and fauna. One of the last populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros lives in the park, which is also one of the last refuges of the Bengal tiger.

1997  LUMBINI, THE BIRTHPLACE OF THE LORD BUDDHA  
Brief description:
Siddhartha Gautama, the Lord Buddha, was born in 623 B.C. in the famous gardens of Lumbini, which soon became a place of pilgrimage. Among the pilgrims was the Indian emperor Ashoka, who erected one of his commemorative pillars there. The site is now being developed as a Buddhist pilgrimage centre, where the archaeological remains associated with the birth of the Lord Buddha form a central feature.

One travel agency has just provided me with the following itinerary for one of my friends. I post it here and those who plan to come may use as a reference. There isn't Chinese input on this computer and the itinerary is in English originally. I don't have time to translate. Sorry!

I also put the quotations after the itinerary. I have no intention to say that all of these quotations are the lowest one in the market, especially those of hotel accomodation. As everyone knows, there are myrids of hotels in Nepal, with price ranging from more than 200 dollars to only 2 dollars. Although facilities and service are decided by the money you pay -- this shall be taken granted -- I would like to say that most of the hotels- cheap or luxurious, are clean, and even the most simple one can meet your essential need -- to sleep.:expr001:

I'm advertising for nobody. This is just to give those who are interested a rough idea what a short trip to Nepal would be. :expr001:

1.   7 Days package -

Day 01 - Arrival and transfer to Hotel.

Day 02 - 7am Departure by Bus for 1 Day rafting on Trishuli River. After rafting the rafting Guide will arrange a local bus to Bharatpur Heights where staff from Island Jungle resort will be waiting to take you inside the Resort for 2 Nights / 3 Days Jungle activities.

Day 03 - Full day wildlife activities including Elephant Safari , Canoeing , Jungle Walk , Museum tour , Elephant breeding center visit , birdwatching , Tharu  village visit etc.

五月：其实尼泊尔的局势远没有媒体上说的和大家想象的那么可怕。毛派和※※军的冲突经常都有，但是不会针对外国人，尤其是游客。我们天天生活在这里，早就习惯了，也没觉得有什么不安全，尤其是旅游区。

尼泊尔的旅游季节从9月下旬到次年4月中旬，其中11月至3月是最好的。几乎天天都是睛空，最高温度20多度，常常是在加都城里就可以清晰地看见北面连绵起伏的喜玛拉雅山脉。

最近是不是又乱了起来了？
