About me
Author-photographer, I spent my childhood in a small village in Eure, Gaillon, or I live always.
A few years ago, for the birth of my daughter, I buy my first camera, a compact, with the modest intention of capturing moments of joy that I will procurerais joyous event.
A simple, but completely changa my perception of things, very quickly I see in the picture a true means of expression, with which I capture the true or just let my imagination go.
Self-taught, I taught at the same time the techniques of shooting and processing.
Today my work is focused on the human, I like to take on a person when she does not expect it, an intimate moment, an expression, a fraction of life, or go to the streets of hazard to capture scenes of everyday small.
But photography is for me, a mysterious world, unsuspected, that I'm just beginning to explore a vast world, where nothing is impossible.

About me
An introduction of my work should start with a short description of Romania. The magic of this country, lies in its landscapes and in its warm people that are living in villages from very close to the sea to the heart of the mountains. Every region has its own specific habits and its own stories, witch are making together the beautiful book, called - Romania. Every season is turning slowly page by page from this book, over and over again, for thousands of years. You can still find in these villages carts run by oxen, people working at the looms or in the fields with horses.
I must say that I am very lucky to live in this country, but at the same time, I am sorry to see that day by day something is changing as the modernism is cutting deeper and deeper in our old traditions.
My aim is to find during my walks up and down and around the hills, valleys and villages of Romania, old people and forgotten habits and try to bring back into present something that was lost in the past. The Romanian village is my main motive because I love it s people and it s habits and because I see it dying.
As I have a job that keeps me occupied during the week, my photographic work untill now was put up together during weekends and during the short holidays that I had since I started photography.
And, because I love stories, here are some stories made here, in Romania. Hope you like them! )

About me
I attempt to go further by meeting individuals in their privacy. By choosing foreigners on the street or by going door to door, I choose my models for their beauty. Not physical beauty, but emotional. By arranging and directing my models, I try to create portraits that are true to nature. To capture a look that would not exist without my intervention.
Regarding the photo itself, I use digital processes to transform the color and light. In my photos, the background light increases the climactic sense of the model itself. I prefer to work with natural light and then push it towards the supernatural, so that the color of my photos is only a coating of the subject. My photographs show an aesthetic side without compromising the essence of the subject and its emotional value. Beautifying the the grotesque in the same way as the beauty industry; beautifying the ugly is very important to me. Since the contemporary world invaded with advertising, appearance is important to capture the eye of the viewer. I use the same tools as the industry: strong images, excessive, provocation, picture perfect. Not in a mercantile, but to exceed the industry itself with a human referred sincere paramount.
All this attention to the final rendering of the image is a way to exercise my control, to enter the deep intimacy of the subject and its environment. In order to reveal stories and emotions that are at first invisible without the intervention of the artist. Then I can create unique narrative sequences. All this for a purpose, to gain further knowledge of the privacy of others and go beyond the concept that the subjects have their own privacy.

About me
Like any other photographer who pursues art, I try to bring something personal to every photo I take.
I am still learning a lot about photography every day, but as much as I discover through this discipline, I still recognize that photography is an open space, in which there are constantly new opportunities to explore it deeper.
Although I've always valued photography, how I came to this profession was rather coincidental. I helped my friend Vedran Vidak (http://vedran-vidak.com) photograph a wedding, and our partnership worked out very well. He became my mentor after that, encouraging me to pursue what he believed was my inborn talent.
After spending a few years capturing regional subjects and scenery, I thought I could really challenge myself in the field, and so I joined a mission to Tanzania with an aid association.
In retrospect, I look at that decision as a kind of instinctual compass which reinforced my desire to do this type of photography.
I also find myself surrendering more and more to Africa, although I don't think it is a conscious decision on my part. Instead, there is an unparalleled and reassuring spirit emanating from that continent that it overwhelms with genuine and raw energy. And so, I was lured by it from the beginning, and that is where I feel I belong.

About me
Im Robert. Just simply Robert.
Hm..... People asked me to write some more about me. Now here it comes, but do not expect the story of the fathers camera which i got and start my passion for photography.
Just at one day i purchased a camera to start a hobby which took me a way from typical habits my job in foreign countries comes along with. So it starts and did grow. Analogue and digital now and still it is a lot of fun!
Since that time i do not sleep long and stopped watching TV, i go places before i never would have gone. I look at details before i never saw. Some of the beauties in life are still to discover yet. I meet people i would have never meet before! I love what i am doing and i am doing it with my heart and soul! I like to get close! I like people close to me so it is better to feel what they feel which makes me understanding! And i am learning, not only about photography but for life!
What more i can write? Not much! Just look at my pictures! The pictures from simply Robert!
