Mack the Knife，Bobby Darin演唱。在1959年的美国连续荣登9周榜首，正是这首歌曲让他一举成名。Bobby Darin 曾对生活杂志的Shana Alexander说：“我希望到我25岁的时候能成为一名传奇性的人物。”这段话好像显示他相当自负，其实人们并不知道，Bobby 所以想要在25岁时就取得成就，是因为他对自己能否活到30岁毫无把握。1959年 Mack the Knife 的成功，使他终于步入了传奇人物之路。以后他发表的很多歌曲都非常引人瞩目。Bobby 一生不仅从事演唱事业，也演电影（曾获1963年电影“Captain Newman, M.D.”中获得最佳配角的提名）、电视剧（1972年夏及1973年冬，在NBC的节目中，主演他自己主持的电视系列剧）等。然而年幼时的一场高烧确留给他一个非常虚弱的心脏，1973年，由于心力衰竭，这个传奇人物还是过早地离开了我们。
奥斯卡影帝Kevin Spacey自编自导自演了一部影片《Beyond the sea》来向他心中明星Bobby Darin致敬，片子不错，值得一看。这个片名也是一首Bobby Darin的经典之作，曾被Frank Sinatra、Paul Anka等大明星翻唱过，也曾经被包括《X档案》在内的许多影片引用过。以及动画片Finding Nemo，中文版的好像是孙楠唱的，就比较恶心了。最近一次引用这首歌的是2012年11月10号在日本上映的犯罪、惊悚电影《恶之教典》。在此影片中，莲实老师（伊藤英明 饰）多次以吹口哨的调调来传达看似轻松欢快、实则恐怖至极的“恶”，深入骨髓的演绎了这首歌就是“杀人歌”的本质。
