Takraw is a popular sport in South-East Asia. It is played with a small rattan ball and can perhaps best be described as kick volleyball. Usually it is played 3 against 3. It is quite spectacular.

The Bonfire of The Vanities

The compact's small sensor really starts showing its limitations with these 'total' scenes and regrattably the photographers small brain also starts showing its limitations what post processing is concerned, but going to push my luck on more time with another photo that I took with the Powershot A95. It is after all what I started with, and the little thing really gave me something no dslr or slr was able to give me a few years ago... a taste and a hunger for photography.

Where else could I post this but in the Everyday category. It could just as well have been the title of the photo.

Imitation of Life

A candid streetphoto taken in Bangkok about a year ago.
A few days later, I exchanged my dear little Canon Powershot A95 for a dslr...

... and discovered there is such a thing as a lenscap

Anyway, many things have become easier since. Taking this kind of picture regrettably isn't one of them.

Could entered it in the humour section, but as street photography often highlights the irony of 'la condition humaine'... there you go

One Million Ways To Defy Gravity

Takraw is very popular in Thailand and adjacent countries. Perhaps best described as kick-volleyball, it is extremely spectacular, and played with a small ratan ball. Allthough professionally played in sport stadiums, it is also very much a "people's sport", often played in the streets - I always considered these shots more as street photos than as sport photos.
