世界著名摄影大师：玛格丽特·伯克·怀特（Margaret Bourke-White)
我们熟悉的玛格丽特·伯克—怀特（Margaret Bourke-White，1904—1971）是20世纪杰出的新闻摄影师，以人道主义的敏感和关怀著称。她的许多报道摄影作品已经成为经典，都是20世纪的摄影坐标。伯克－怀特在第二次世界大战出生入死，并被委任为美国※※官方摄影师，她拍的照片由美国※※和《生活》杂志共同使用。战争结束后，她还受《生活》杂志委派到印度，在那里她拍摄了圣雄甘地，并且在甘地被刺之前，曾采访了他几个小时。在印度最重要的成果是拍摄了印度和巴基斯坦两国间的※※大迁移，并完成了《通往自由的途中》的作品集，深刻地揭示了造成这场悲剧的原因，使其具有很高的社会学价值，为纪实摄影添上了亮丽的一笔。
