My name is Jaap Koer.

About me
Dutch,male, 39, freelance programmer, studied 3 years photography in Utrecht at the HKU and in Den Haag at the Royal Academy of Art (Netherlands), married, father of 2 kids, living in Hamburg Germany and still got to learn a lot about photgraphy.
I did not became a photographer, for after doing digital photography in 1992 I got into the IT world and met the internet in 1993 and became a programmer...
(sometimes I am very happy about that for I can fotograph what I want, but some days it makes me rather sad quitting at that time)
I Stopped making photos in 1994 and started again in november 2011. In the time between I did only candid shots with bad digital cameras and stopmotion video.

About me
Started photographing in 2009 after the birth of my daughter. I had too much free time, and I could not imagine that anyone else can see better my daughter than me. So beautiful she was.
So for four years for me photography is a way to escape from everyday life in the office (I am a lawyer by the way) and to develop my imagination.
I never refuse to photograph anything, as long as the result satisfies me. Because I am clearly aware that photography requires much more than that to get the camera and just snap and that good photography is the result of long searches and effort and build on technique, creativity, and sometimes luck.
lately I like to experiment with different films.I inherited unique Rolleiflex, produced in the 40s. Great camera!
Clearly I am really just beginning, just an amateur who wants very much to learn, but my participation by such sites gives me a strong push forward, perhaps because it's fun to sometimes compete with others like you, but mostly because I see and admire the great staff of people who do photography in a professional way.
So thank you all for your attention and thank those who are criticizing me, helping me become better at my hobby.
