I have loved painting since I was in high school, and to this day I have never stopped loving and learning about fine art photography. With this medium, we can express ourselves and try to connect with our audience.
The main idea of “Right Here Waiting” was to create a classic and glamorous photo of a model, and for this reason I chose a location very rich in sixteenth century history — Old Batavia in Jakarta, Indonesia.

This photo was taken during a trip to Sa Pa in northwest Vietnam. My fellow travelers and I were hiking in a beautiful valley and the strong patterns formed by the rice fields really appealed to me. When I walked high up a hillside and looked down toward the valley, I found an opportunity to capture this landscape with a bird's-eye view.
I take most of my photos during my travels. I bring my camera with me almost all the time to capture things that interest me at the right place and at the right moment.

When she arrives, she finds the villagers are celebrating: it's their one-time, annual event and the festivities are in full swing.
