"Fumeiro" is a tradicional Portuguese way of prepare meat, jam and sausages in north of Portugal. The rural people prepare the meat with smoke from aromatic wood. This thecnique cames from times where electric refrigerators or ever electricity didn´t exist. This jam, saussages and smoked meat are delicious. This room are full of smoke with the day light that cames from window .

Every days Maria go to center of village to meet the ambulant baker, and came home with bread. This is a very important moment of the day, because all the people of village meet togheter for moments while they wait the baker. The comunitarian owen no more works as in the past, except in special days.

I am currently an undergraduate at The Ohio State University in central Ohio. I study aviation, but passionately pursue photography for it is one of the best forms of expression in my opinion. I will always be a student of the art and have great appreciation for the work of others.

I strive to spark response in somebody else. If only one person is impacted by one of my works, then it is successful in my eyes.

I am from Hungary and currently live in Brussels, Belgium. I started taking pictures at the age of 5 and took my first photograph 15 years later. When not hanging on 1x, I work as a tax specialist. When I dont do either, Im in the field working on two long-time photographic projects - Armenia (which I hope to finish this year) and the Indian Himalaya (which I will finish in another life). Im rather a would-be photojournalist than a creative photo artist, and here at 1x theres plenty of both kinds of photographers with Photos by Balazs Pataki , images never ceasing to inspire.

My photographic credo can be summed up in one sentence: theres only the photograph. Context and efforts put in it could add but in 99% a photo is only good if it has impact without all the collaterals.

And if I am very, very satisfied with a photo but it wouldnt work for others, an old joke comes to mind: a guy is driving his Porsche at 120 miles on the highway. He hears a traffic warning on the radio: "a crazy driver is driving in the wrong lane against the direction, be aware!" And our guy just thinks, "ONE crazy driver? Cmon, ALL are coming on me!"
