About me
Gerard retired from a purchasing job in the automotive industry in 2005 & since then has made it his purpose to become an accomplished digital photographer. Photography was already a hobby for him but one he common with many never really had time to fully perfect due to work & family commitments. He is largely self taught & with his time well spent after retirement he can now boast a remarkable portfolio of images across a broad cross section of subjects though he will argue street still holds most fascination for him.

As you will see from his portfolio here on 1X.com he is a generalist photographer who has shot street nature & abstract & since January 2010 have embarked on a journey into the world of sports photography shooting Rugby & Cricket with the objective of producing a portfolio of work that may ultimately see me shooting these & other sports as a way of making my photography provide an additional income.

Things are moving on he has had various publications in the UK in provincial newspapers & both Cricket & Rugbys' premier glossy magazines. For the past two years he has worked with London Scottish RFC & more recently with Barking RUFC while in the 2010 cricket season he worked with London based Surrey CCC & the Unicorns & has have full accreditation to access all first class cricket grounds & international matches in the UK.
