About me
Im not a pro, but I try to do my best, will this be enough ?
I have discovered photography a long, long time ago. My first camera was a nikon F301, that is still functionnal
And made some unsual photography (Microscope, Polarized Light Cristals, Holograms)
I rediscover photography with Digital some years ago
I restarted very slowly with
* SONY DSC-P51
* SONY DSC-V1
and Finally went back to DSLR with a Nikon D50
And finally with the Nikon D300
I started then to buy some more decent lenses ;-)
my favourite lens so far is the Nikon AF-D 10,5mm Fisheye lens !!!
I have also started to increase my interest for tools like Photoshop, HDR etc....

About me
I bought my first 1000D in Sep 2009 when I didn't know anything about photography. I was not so serious until I knew some photography communities in mid of 2010, and realized that I was zero.
A friend introduced me to 1X which opened my eyes what photography means. By fortune, I got my first upload was published, few days after my joining. I always remember the photo taking date on 10/10/10.. my magic number
I was a painter when I was a kid, and never made painting anymore since in the college. Now I am happy, in photography I can continue painting. But now, I am painting with my camera, and software.

About me
After years of shooting, I found a term that comes pretty close to what I think of myself as. I am a Portraitiste Par Excellence. The portrait is what I do. In my earlier days of snapping, I did the usual mix - some landscape, some street shooting, an occasional wedding, some typical family snaps. Nowadays I rarely put the camera to my eye for something other than to take a portrait of a beautiful woman. You could say that now I am focused. And, since this is not my primary source of income, I get picky - that is, when I say beautiful, I mean it. I want to capture beauty. Not the "inner kind" but the ultimate outside - shallow as it may be, but breathtaking all the same.

About me
Hello, I am Jan Gravekamp, born in 1960 in the Netherlands. I have done some photography in the past and rediscovered photograpy about a year ago. I have bought myself a Nikon 300D last year November and now developing myself by looking at pictures from others and reading about photography. Over the last months I have found that lines, architecture, streetlife, urban and landscapes have my interest. I try to reflect that in my pictures. I have recently made an upgrade to the Nikon D700 including lenses.
I think this site is very interesting from many points of view. The fact that all pictures are subject to a screening process from the members make the moment that a picture is published very rewarding.
