We are in the center of Paris, France, under Tournelle Bridge near Notre-Dame Cathedral (which we can see in the background) along the Seine River. Remember, this cathedral was built from 1163 to 1250; it took nearly 100 years to build one the most beautiful monuments in Paris.
I already had a photo of this scene without people in it. I liked the graphics in it, but I felt something was missing, so I decided to go back to this place and try again. I wanted to have more life in the photo, maybe add a bit of mystery to it. I decided to keep the same framing, but this time I would take a long exposure to blur the people as they passed through my frame.

There are many lively topics about street photography, its peculiarities, difficulties and challenges. I consider the question of luckiness to be one of the most vital. When a street photographer captures an intriguing image, how much is based on luck and how much is based on knowledge, experience and intention? I still ask myself: Was this a combination of happy coincidences or did I really do a “good job” that day?
This candid picture of two children was taken during my vacation in Amsterdam at the beginning of January. The place where we stayed was not overcrowded with tourists, and the locals felt perfectly comfortable in their native town. Just as a tourist and a person who is fond of photography would do, I hung my camera around my neck and, accompanied by three friends, went out for sightseeing.

I wasn't sure what to expect today. I packed light, bringing only my 50mm f/1.8 lens, and hiked the muddy one-mile trail down to the village 600 feet below. All I knew was that after the Sunday morning church meeting, there would be a community discussion outside. I usually hang around and socialize with my Mibu friends during this time, looking to catch up on the latest goings on in the community, and also keeping an eye out for some interesting photographic opportunities.
After the church meeting, the community members had all moved outside and were standing around listening to the different people who had points to bring up. That's when I began taking shots of folks doing different things, getting my camera settings where I wanted them. I was set on making good use of the f/1.8 aperture today as I'm used to shooting with my 24–105 f/4L IS lens.

We are surrounded by them, walking between their concrete walls, but buildings rarely give us the opportunity to see their true beauty. When they do, though, the outcome is amazing. Like a lady, we need to wait (or create) the perfect conditions for the shot, and when that happens, the structure reveals itself like a beautiful flower.
I planned to capture this building ever since its construction began. It's located right next to my office and I drive by it twice a day. The moment I saw that the huge plates of glass had been mounted to the exterior wall, I knew that the time to photograph the structure was fast approaching. The extreme lines, the blue tones and the crossing diagonal line made it unique and interesting to me.

The Rapa das Bestas (The Capture of the Beasts) is the name of the festival celebrated in Sabucedo, Pontevedra Province, in Galicia, Spain. It takes place during the first week in July and involves cutting the manes of the wild horses that roam free in the mountains, spanning an area over 200 square miles. It's performed in an enclosure called a curro where only a few aloitadores (fighters) are in charge of overpowering the semi-feral horses, relying solely on their skills and bodily strength.

Everyone has had a great “almost!” moment. A chain of events seems to inevitably lead to a certain result when, at the very last second, it stops — so close to success, or complete disaster. That was the inspiration for this photo and its title. I wanted to create an image that would invite the viewers to invent their own story instead of focus on a specific event in my life. One possible interpretation is that it's about a journey toward a desired goal that unfortunately you are not able to reach, even though you are frustratingly close to doing so.

Concert photography is always full of ※※※※※※※※※※. Surrounded by the loud, live music playing, all the changing lights, all the emotion of the artist and all of the excitement of the energetic crowd, you are instantly motivated to make the best photo of your life. It's easy to become distracted by everything going on around you, but you need to think fast and concentrate as soon as it starts because you need to make a few great photos, not just one.
I shoot concerts mostly with a 70–200mm f/2.8 lens. I always set the ISO to 2000 or higher so I have more options if I want to change the shutter speed or aperture. I swap out the telephoto lens for a wide-angle only when I want to capture the crowd. I shoot in Shutter Priority mode because I don't ever want to make a mistake by using a shutter speed that's too slow.

数码时代要像Steve McCurry那样，不使用人造光、不干涉被摄对象地进行街头纯自然弱光抓拍，若后期不强大，怕是不可能有好的效果了，因此，必须使用Lightroom！。

“我一直觉得，坚持使用PS修图的只有两种人，一种是平面设计师，另一种是用不来Lightroom或者Capture One的摄影师。。。

就局部曝光调整而言，其实Lightroom的滤镜和画笔要比PS的蒙板强大好用得多，像这样的片子，用PS就调不出来了
