维拉·潘·戴伦（Ulla van Daelen）
　　维拉·潘·戴伦生于Rheinland，曾于荷兰Den Haag以及德国科隆修习过竖琴。在科隆音乐学院的时候，曾在考试中获得最高荣誉的成绩，并且在法兰克福赢得BDI比赛而获颁奖学金。目前，已多次在柏林国家歌剧院举行音乐会，从1990年之后她成为WDR广播交响乐团的独奏竖琴师。过去几年以来，除了正统的古典以及现代竖琴音乐之外，她非常热衷于爵士音乐、民族音乐以及即兴演出。目前，她自己的作品是她个人演奏当中一定会有的部分。
　　五岁时，戴伦已经能够作钢琴即兴表演。十岁时就获得年轻音乐家第一名殊荣。十二岁，她发现竖琴才是自己的梦想，十八岁时第一次参加竖琴比赛就获得冠军。接着，她在德国科隆以及荷兰以优异的成绩完成学业。接着，又在美国以及日本举办无数的工作坊，教授大师课以及举行一系列音乐会。她在德国柏林国家歌剧院演出的《Oper am Rhein》为她赢得了很高的声誉。
　　因为密集的爵士民谣与即兴表演，戴伦已经创造出自己诗一般的风格、有韵律的编曲，同时出版了四张CD。诸如她的偶像、指挥大师莱奥纳德·伯恩斯坦所言，戴伦的演奏风格独具个性，同时跨越不同的音乐领域。不管是独奏或是合奏，戴伦都呈现出精湛的琴艺。

竖琴——比钢琴更难录音的演奏乐器;在演奏上极容易暴露出技法单薄、编曲平庸的缺点,因此增加独奏的挑战性。这也是为甚么你很难在市场上找到竖琴独奏和主奏专辑的原因之一。但是你手上这张专辑,正打存了坚琴音乐自始以来几点难以解除的咒语。
